Devoted Buck

Yesterday afternoon around 3:30 my wife called to tell there was a buck on the road on a hidden curve- so watch out on the way home. She said it was standing over a doe that appeared hurt . Sure enough at 5:30 he was still there. It appears the doe was hit by a car, and was seriously hurt. I stopped to see if I could assist.. No way- That young 6 point buck let me know. So I went home to call county officials to let them handle it. No clue what happened after that. But this morning going to work at 6:30,, Same spot, lo and behold who is still there? The young buck. No sign of the doe, but the buck was right smack in the middle of the curve. Luckily I don't speed. I chased him off the road, and hopefully when I go home today I won't see him.

Any one ever see a buck stay with a doe/scent that devotedly? There were several other does in the field beside the road.
