OK ya all. remember that to do a shoulder mount, I need at least 6"-8" BEHIND the front shoulder. The best thing is to bring the whole hide an let me make the proper cuts. Try an keep it as dry as possible using a BLACK TRASH BAG and keep it iced or frozen till you can bring it to the shop. I do this ever year to help those who do not know. Good post. I just barely left enough hide once. A little surprised that you had go that far back. The nose and neck measurements would be good to know also.
