Duck hunting on Colorado river

Post by t100 »

Is duck hunting legal on the Colorado river? If so, would I need the public hunting permit? A blast n cast would be nice!! I'm referring to anywhere between 183 and bastrop. Thanks

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. I think it's ok as long as you're outside city limits and 500 yards from a domicile (house). I can't remember if it's 500 feet or yards but I'll err on the side of caution. I had to take a hunter's safety course last week (first time  ) and he said to contact the warden for the particular county that you will hunting in and ask him or her. Let me know when you go, I'm down to give it a shot (haha).
