Aerial Photo Websites
Does anyone know who has the most recent up to date aerial photos? Or how often they are updated?

Beat me to it. Ray has some good stuff up here. You can also check reviews on his book at www.wadeextremetexas.com/board
Type in Coastal Bend Fishing in Search or go to his website listed above in quote.

Google Earth is about 3 years old. Windows Local Live is about 2 years old. That stuff that Del Sol posted is from 2004.
I use something similar to what Ray uses in his book, which is about from 2004. Here's a sample from Shamrock near Corpus Christi.

One word - HurricanesWhiskeyBravo wrote:how come louisiana has all these updated aerial photos, and the greatest repulic of the nation doesnt have any?
Everytime hurricanes hit it causes major coastal changes in Louisiana, so NOAA and NGS refly after every storm. Katrina was such a devastating hurricane and because of the dike failures, they collected very good aerial imagery of Louisiana.
Because Louisiana is trying to show how much land they lost in Katrina.WhiskeyBravo wrote:how come louisiana has all these updated aerial photos, and the greatest repulic of the nation doesnt have any?
I just looked at some of my old, inside water, fishing spots near Venice and Hopedale and they are now the Gulf.
