Those are either giant crabs or small flounder.

Holy Flounder! That in Galveston? Wow, wish I was there with a lantern and a gig pole. 8)

No, that wasnt galveston. I found the thread on 2cool and some dude took that picture from a fishing magazine. Someone posted that the pic came from the mouth of the Neuse river in N Carolina. That river is apparently known for poor water quality and low oxygen events.

Google "Mobile Bay Jubilee" for another example. Very interesting!

I've taken part of several jubilees as a kid on Mobile Bay. I've never seen anything like it since. Nothing like unloading the cooler from the truck, filling it by hand in a matter of minutes and then going back to bed!

If you enlarge the photo, you'll see quite a few blue crabs in that photo as well.

Some nice sized crabs to. :shock: Never seen flounder that thick before!

Wow, looking closely, I can see the flounder, a stingray, the crabs, and a school of mullet.
