Seabrook July 3, 2006 with pics
Well, about 10 of use made it out to Seabrook today to fish in this wonderful weather. I wasn't expecting anyone to show up since it was raining. But they did, and we fished! I don't know what all was caught, but I had several hits on a gulp shrimp and one trout jump the hook at the yak. I'm glad I went and met all the fellow TKFers who went. Lets do it again soon.
And now for the pics...

Nice meeting everyone and fishing with a few familiar faces too. I ended the day with a nice 16" spec and 2 flounder, the biggest went 16.5" and was really FAT. I'll be eating good the next couple days. jhj has the pictures of my fish, he said he would post up later. In the pics I'm in the orange shirt on a green speck.

Although late posting, I was with the group and had a great time. If memory serves me the original launch included, jhjspcecks, gulfcoastrods, uofhyaker, delsol25, whymel, medicman1838, scuppersancho, two newbies and me. Later, Tavo and partner showed and fished.
The group launched and immediately shot off North paddling like hell going to some piers. Me, I’m lazy and I wanted to stay close due to weather, so I fished the outside of the Toddville bridge. Caught about 8 flounder (4 nice keepers) and had lots of hits that I failed to hook.
After a while it started thundering pretty bad in the distance so I went ashore and met Tavo and partner who were just launching. Whymel and medicman returned, due to thunder, but didn’t come ashore and I paddled back out to fish with them. Soon all the others came back and as stated above they had caught some trout.
We had about 7 yaks just out from the bridge and caught a lot of flounder. Everyone had hits, but not everyone got them to the boats. Most all caught on Gulp Shrimp, just about any color….new penny’s being the favorite.
Great time had with all you guys and sure enjoyed meeting you. Jhjspecks, thanks for the milk crates!
This was a fun fishing trip!

JEREMY that rain was just slow enough to make it bearible. i think that last down pour was the one that sent me to the truck.
mythman was on top of his flounder game today. robert was right behind him. that flounder i caught would have fit between 2 pieces of bread real nice.
i wish delsol would have at least got his hands on that trout he lost at the boat. it looked to be a nice one. i know there were some nice trout in there. i hooked a couple that got off also and they felt good.
did any body get the newbie's names. and i guess you did not get a pic of the dolphin running the bait .
