Strange Fish Washed Ashore on Galveston Beach

I was walking on West Galveston Beach this evening and found this fish washed ashore. It is like nothing I have ever seen before. It is about 2 feet long and about 4 or 5 pounds in weight. It has large eyes set farther back on its head than usual and the eyes are big. It is torpedo shaped like a Spanish Mackeral and has a very small mouth at the very front of its head. There are some large grinding like teeth in the front of its mouth. THIS FISH HAS NO SCALES! If it does, they are so small so as not to be felt when touching the fish. I'm not even sure if it has gills but there are small possible slits visible in the photos that could be gills. If anyone knows what this fish is, I would like to know, or who to contact for more info.

I have photos, I wish I could attach them but I don't see any way to do it.

seems like a photo is worth a thousand guesses.
How about trying Imgur for your (free) photoserver:
