birds working post-dump
with all the water and shrimp flushed out of the marsh this week, I'm sure the bird action will be really good behind that front. i'll be down there next weekend, I wonder if the bird action will continue for a couple weeks? with one big flush like that I'm not sure how long it will go on for out in the bay.

Re: birds working post-dump
Three of us fished the ultimate BIRD venue yesterday (remote FROZEN POINT in East Bay) in nice low-end conditions without seeing any bird action at all.
It would have been a total "Skunk trip" except for Shoffer landing a small trout on the troll.
The baywaters have gotten cold after this last Blue Norther. That suggests the big shrimp migration is over, therefore the major bird action is over, too.
That's "my take" & I'm sticking to it! Good luck. Looks like our "Winter fishing pattern" has begun.
Check out our "limit-out" BIRD trip to Frozen Point last Nov. 15th... What a difference a year makes...

Dandy, best bird 'action' is yet to come. Have no fear, better fish will now begin to show under the birds working in the bay on select days.

Thanks, Tobin! I may be a demented old genius w/ a law degree, but I'll defer to you every time on matters of piscatorial pursuit. Ha ha. I think that means "fishing." Love your weedless white diamond TSLs. Hope to meet you on our waters sometime.

And Ron, your crazy sense of humor is almost as demented as mine. You are good people.
