Bolivar East Bay Help MID SEP

Post by gus12343 »

Hey Everyone!!! My good buddy from el paso is coming down to do some yakin and try to catch his first saltwater fish. If there are any suggestions on where to launch and bait choice/colors to use would be helpful. We plan on being in the area around September 14th. I'm mostly a westbay dude so any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

Stingaree Marina is a great place to launch on Bolivar. You can access the marshes along the ICW, or paddle across and fish the south shoreline of east bay, Yates Bayou, etc. I use artificial only when I go, but the marina does have live bait if you'd rather use that. Look at that area on google earth to get some ideas of where to go. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.

Artificials like top waters and slow sinkers in the morning along that marsh area mentioned above. I caught trout after trout early int he morning there. PB's will show up so get there early to cast to the bank and along the grass line.
