Fellow yakers

I am in town visiting the CC/PA area and am interested in launching wilsons cut in the morning. I have a honey hole in the area for redfish.if anyone wants to tag along hit me up with a pm. Always good to meet new fishing buddies.

Good luck, wish I could join. Remember, you'll have to launch at the boat ramp as the other access where we used to launch from has been shut down since Harvey.

Is it back open or are you launching from the boat ramp that was there?

I launched from the boat ramp and it was a long paddle. Especially when the wind picked up. Working on a new spot

I was able to launch down the road about three months after Harvey.

I actually first heard of it's closure in early December, if I remember correctly. Think I may have seen a post by someone on here having launched at the old spot a month or so after Harvey, too. I guess I was just lazy being lazy when I wrote that. You may have been the last kayaker to use that launch. In the end when it closed is really a moot point, we've lost a great access spot on the coast.

The next time I'm going to be down that way will be in September it looks like. Going to be staying in Port Aransas again.

I'm going to have to take a look at my map and the Kayak and Wade book this weekend and think about other spots to try.

Follow up question.

Have there been any problems lately with people breaking in to cars at that ramp?

I read some stuff about that ramp in the past on where it was best just to take anything valuable out and leave your vehicle unlocked so thieves wouldn't break in to it.
