I went looking for trout in the marina this morning. No luck but did watch the fog roll in. 5:30am.

I had my best trout sight-fishing morning ever in a socked-in fog at S. Padre. Could see schoolies as a dozen vee-wakes moving toward the grass line.

Sunday morning around 7:30 it was already clear, sunny and warming up. Fished for about an hour when out of the east this looming dark sky started heading my way. Paddled back closer to the launch not knowing what was coming and by the time I got to the truck it was a complete white out. You couldn't see 20 feet ahead it was so thick. Craziest thing I ever saw besides a redfish getting airborne and landing head first into the mud with his whole back end sticking straight up. It seemed to be stuck there for a second and then finally fell back down! lol Within an hour it had cleared up again.

Don’t zombie/ghost pirates usually come along with a fog like that?
