Dec 3rd trip w/ family

Going kayak fishing in the Galveston/Freeport area with some family that's new to kayak fishing. Where is going to be the best general area to fish this time of year? I went to titlam tatlum about two weeks ago and had a blast catching a bunch of rat reds , but I was hoping to find some flounder this trip. Also want them to just have fun, catch a few fish, and get hooked like I did. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
