Sight casting for reds and a great topwater trout bite

Post by bullet.catcher »

I had an epic fishing day at Port O’Connor. I wish the entire Texas Gulf Coast was that rich with game fish. There were literally fish all over the grass flats. We saw reds, trout, sheepshead, stingray, manta rays, black drum, jack crevelle and bottle nose dolphins. Here’s some of the action we had.

Great video. Can't beat clear water and hungry shallow reds!

Great video, as usual.

I can't wait to see one where you get a 25" trout on a topwater :P

:D Great video Mark!
That was an epic day. The topwater jack bite was the highlight of the day, but the topwater trout bite was a close second. I didn't get it on film since my battery was already dead from the jack fight and the reds we caught on the way to the trout spot.

These are my topwater trout from that day. Smallest was around 18" biggest was 23.5". (that's bullet.catcher in the background of the first two pics)
