My return home to the Texas Gulf Coast!

Post by bullet.catcher »

This has been my long anticipated return to Texas and the Gulf Coast. So excited to be fishing the salt again on a regular. My first trip out was to the Texas City Dike and then I hit the Galveston Causeway for some night time fishing under the lights.

Looks like you came too early with this storm approaching. Take care of your family. On second thought, might be a good thing and prepare for Harvey.

Causeway is always like that when I go. I have NEVER not caught a fish at the causeway lights. If you drag your lure closer to the bottom I have found the bigger fish lower int he column and occasionally you will get a flounder.

Thanks gents, the causeway is easy fishing with the lights. But don't be fooled a lot can go wrong if you're not careful. Fast ripping currents near the pylons!!!

Welcome back to Texas. While I really enjoyed your videos from your exile, I will be more glad to see these now that you are back. I like your peddle technique. Looks easier (once you get the hang of it) than anchoring up in that current.

I tried the anchor route but it didn't end to well. Lost that anchor...it was missed...poor little fella...never saw it coming.
