What I have come to realize is everyone has a story. Never met Bob before but was great talking to him.
Betty, aka Mrs Backlasher, is one of my heroes. She is alive and doing well.
If I ever stop here again, its going to be for a plate of pork ribs. Very good brisket also and I was surprised that a chain restaurant could pull this off.

Re: Pics from the TKF gathering
We hope to do this again soon. And perhaps on a Saturday afternoon so folks with jobs may be able to attend. (I say afternoon in case folks would want to go fishing early in the morning on their day off.) I thought Spring Creek BBQ was a good place to have this event because they have a separate room where we could gather apart from the regular customers, so as not to disturb them with our rowdiness.

Indeed, everyone does have a story. Maybe next time I'll stop in and meet everyone.Tombo wrote:What I have come to realize is everyone has a story. Never met Bob before but was great talking to him.

Re: Pics from the TKF gathering
So how many years of experience were gathered for lunch that day?
Re: Pics from the TKF gathering
I am going take a guess. Mr and Mrs Backlasher since 2004, Capt. Jack, TKF Stubbs, and I more than 20. Mary Jean and the rest will have to chime in.Rockclimber wrote:So how many years of experience were gathered for lunch that day?
If Kayak Kidd had attended, he would have more than all of us together.
Too much for me to count.
Re: Pics from the TKF gathering
Yeah, put me in for about seventy years of kayaking and fishing 'experience'. I could pass on a plethora of bad habits to someone.
So sorry I didn't attend. My wife cautioning me about the terrible storm that was about to hit us kept me from going. I don't think it even rained. Heck or high water will not prevent me from attending the next one.
