Tarpon Shores

Is it possible/safe to launch a kayak and leave the vehicle at the old Tarpon Shores between Aransas Pass and the ferry landing? What about the boat ramp? Is it open/safe to launch a skiff and leave the vehicle? Anyone know what is being done with the property? Thanks
