Hey guys - I'll be headed to the San Luis Pass area tomorrow early to hit the water. I'm not from here so I found it by doing a little Google Map research and asking a few people I've met at Academy.
1-Is anyone headed out there tomorrow?
2-If so, I'd like to tag along with someone familiar with the water to maybe find where the fish might be.
3-I would like information on where is the best place to launch my yak.
4-Any tips on what to throw would be nice. I'm planning on using a topwater early on then switch to two of my go to baits which are the chartruese speckle TTF Trout Killer and a DownSouth Keylime swimbait. I also have a white DownSouth and a myriad of other baits I could use.
Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated. I'll check back in the morning before I leave to see if there are any responses.
Thanks for reading.

Just my $0.02 but it is forecasted to be ruff out there this weekend. If you are determined to go I would suggest Christmas Bay rather than SLP for a smoother ride, but again...the winds will be up and even CB can get to rocking pretty good. Good luck and stay safe.

I agree; 13-17 SSW is not a good set-up for SLP.bajabugs wrote:Just my $0.02 but it is forecasted to be ruff out there this weekend.
