Hi all, I am new to the area from Louisiana and after doing some kayak fishing for myself this weekend, I am planning on meeting the family for some crabbing.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some "honey holes" or do's and don'ts for crabbing in Galveston? My experience with crabbing has always been a turkey neck on the end of a string off the side of a road.
Any advice or information you can provide to a new resident to the area is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

My favorite is by any pier with a cleaning table.. those crabs are spoon fed. other than that, anywhere and everywhere this time of year. The ramp at the south end of the causeway, the lagoon over on the island, you can even crab off the rock groins in the surf. Crabbing is a good excuse to drink
