New favorite night fishing lure

Post by lahai1dj »

Has anyone used the Chicken Bloy glow grubs? I've been fishing these on tandems at night and they have been a very productive bait. The bait is small this early in the year, if you've used these before, do they get less effective later in the summer/fall?

I've not used that brand, but we have a bunch of tandem rigs that have small grub worms in various colors at the fish camp and the undersized trout go bonkers on them, or any other tandem speck rigs for that matter. In the lights at night, up high in the water column, small and either light or natural (clear)is better in the bright water.

Oddly enough, I have caught more fish on glow baits during the daylight hours

Never tried em. I like tandem rigged sparkle beetles. But now my favorite is a mirrodine. They hammer the snot out of em.
