Oh snap! We have a winner. Just happy to be part of one of your 6 annual posts. Bow to my 3K superiority.
Hahahaha I know a member with over 10k and id guess his percentage is closer to 98% BS! He tends to frequent the off topic forum though! Any guess as to whom i speak? This whole place wouldnt be the same without him!

It's fun/sad looking back on this and other threads to see the enthusiastic new guys, blabbering about "addiction" and what a "great place this is" with so much "helpful information" that is "greatly appreciated." Then, a few weeks/months later, they're gone with the wind. Along comes a new crop and wash, rinse, repeat. Attention spans are waning and I...hey LOOK!!! A dust bunny!!!! Time to eat some cereal. Where'd I leave those wrenches?

Yes, I fall for this bait sometimes, most of the time. I'm vowing not to anymore, it's just not worth it.

Here is my pocketful of change. I can see how the endless complaints about use the search tool comes up but if people stop using this as a forum and use it like Wikipedia to look up info you won't have banter or shared new or old experiences. I do think there is some negatitivity towards pot lickers and folks wanting to know where to cast a line. Also there was a phase when with the abundance of kayaks out there you couldn't catch a fish unless you had ____ kayak. Also some of the OG went pro in either pro staff or guides and their views have changed. I don't think that is wrong but there has to be new folks to replace and ask the same questions or have new ideas about things. One thing i did learn was not to troll with a blank cd behind your kayak.

Guess I missed that discussion...

I think that many of the newer crowd ONLY go to the Facebook TKF. I check both daily.

I have to admit that, even though the discussions on FB seem to lack the depth of knowledge compared to this website, there are tons more people and comments daily than I remember on here, even in the good old days.

FB makes it easy to check; read; comment or exit compared to loading up a website. It has gazillions of daily followers. There must be a reason.

Of course, endless pictures of what somebody is Eating gives me a reason to BLOCK a number of posters. The ones that use Some Words that would be ***** "fixed" here get banned, too. Just my choice.

Facebook has issues, that's why no self respecting 12-18 yr. old goes there.
Millenials and old folks quick look at me posts.
Funny and stupid questions and memes though.
And the use of a search engine be it google or this site is obviously too time consuming for facebookers. My .02

It was a long time ago, I was just a little red. I ate a shrimp and then something sharp went through my eye. Some big pink thing pulled me out of the water, took the hook out and threw me back.

I signed up for the TKF facebook page as soon as i signed up for facebook (about a year ago). Took me all of one day to get rid of it. For one, it isnt (or wasnt) ran by Tom or affiliated with the forum at all. Secondly, im not fond of the way posts/comments work on facebook anyway.

If it wasnt for my powdercoated cup business, i would have done away with my facebook account a long time ago!!! 99% of my businesss comes from facebook posts so im kinda stuck for now.

I ain't got nuttin to say I suppose. Sometimes I see the same thing over and over again and trolling spam along with rude comments. Tell me a good story. Throw me an idea that I have not seen. Ask good questions. And then I am probably going to comment. Until then I pass by the worthless posts until I see something to bite (kind of like fishing-hehe). Y'all have a great day.
