Paddling Technique

Thats the kind of incentive I am talking about! Beer! LOL! I am a power paddler with good upper body strength, and I still have not found my best technique.
Re: Paddling Technique
I watched some video of the South African. He varies his stroke speed. Doesn't keep it at a steady pace for very long.

Preach...
I always tell people to paddle with their torso, not their arms. Especially my brother! They just don't seem to get it...

Re: Paddling Technique
Bigger muscles and using all of them at the same time means more efficient stroke, less tiring, longer paddle distance... nice.

I don't know what video you were watching, but Chalupsky is the master of down wind - open swell racing. He was probably catching a swell and then letting the boat run with the wave for awhile before catching another.karstopo wrote:I watched some video of the South African. He varies his stroke speed. You should team up with the guy who wants to use the sorority girls in his guide service?
