Rockport
My wife and I will be in Rockport this weekend and I will be introducing her to kayak fishing. Would you guys share some info as to where to go and what to use? Don't want your secret spots just some pointers. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks

Re: Rockport
anywhere along 361 between AP and Port A, with a top water and a soft plastic. Or port bay road, or St. charles Bay... all depends on the wind
Re: Rockport
If the fish are back on the flats Estes can be productive. Bone Spooks and Gulp new penny shrimp have worked. If the flats aren't producing, try the cuts off the ICW.
Re: Rockport
Saint Charles bay launch near big tree and head north along shoreline .use red/wht for reds & lighter colors for trout . Reds along shoreline & trout in waist deep green water. Find this launch ask someone at speedy stop off hwy 35 or ask park ranger at goose island state park. Good luck & have fun

I might take their advice.
Re: Rockport
There is a public launch also at the end of Rattlesnake Point Rd. that will put you in Capano Bay around Rattlesnake Point and Salt Lake (good spot).

Re: Rockport
Any updates from last weekend? I'm heading down to wade this area on the 19th.
Re: Rockport
I'm thinking about making it down there to fish Estes, redfish bay, or LHL this weekend. If I do I'll offer some info on how it goes
