First fishing Video (from my kid, TKFer-junior18)

Post by crusher »

I posted a few days ago about our first successful hunt for reds. http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/foru ... 1&t=220596 Some of you gave some very gracious comments. Thanks.

My son has a single Sony action cam and a head mount to record what he's looking at. Of course, his feet or the horizon might actually be the focus by accident, at times. He recorded a fair amount of footage and boiled it down to 3-4 minutes - this is his first go at a finished video with the single headmount and basic "free" editing software.

I hesitated to post here - a lot of you guys put out excellent videos and this isn't of that caliber. With some encouragement from one of the of the more prominant TKFers we talk to, I'm throwing this out there for you, and for Harry, my kid. http://youtu.be/R0IN30aQrE8

I think it captures the fun us two rookies  had.

If only Christmas could bring a GoPro or two, some mounts, and some good software (and a lot more time on the water) I think I might have a future fishing video star! He's sort of on mute right now, but Harry is also new member junior18 to TKF. (He really likes 3:48 of the video, btw)

I hope you can appreciate the youthful effort and excitement of his new addiction through his first video.

Great first video from a young angler. I wish I would have gotten started kayak fishing at that age. His editing skills and the footage he captured turned out way better than the very first video I uploaded. It was of me casting into a group of tailing reds, fighting the fish for 15 seconds, and then having the lure fly back at my face. A Go Pro from Santa along some decent editing software will have him making plenty of grown men on this site jealous in no time. Keep up the good work!

Great first video, as Coachsmills said way better than my first attempt. I see Santa will be bringing someone a Gopro for Christmas. Only thing I have to ask who is the group on the sound track . Keep up the good work Harry, waiting to see more from you.

I don't know - my 13 year old captured the footage and made the video with whatever was on the computer. I'll ask him and send you a PM.
