Sorry to hear of your experince, glad you made it out alright. May I suggest you buy a life jacket that has both a zipper and strap buckles. For us heavy guys it could mean the difference between life and death.

The TCD has come along way. Don't mean to hijack Mythman, but I think there are 4 boat launches on the dike now. One at Mosquito where Anitas used to be. One Smaller one a bit down and to the right. Then there is the Noah Welch on the left next to the tripod. And then the big one that can launch you...

Not worth the paddle or danger of being out there. Any fish you think you can catch at the shipwreck can be caught virtually anywhere in the Galveston bay system. Not worth it. There is a 50ft average depth of the channel you have to cross to get to it, and with the tide moving through there it can ...
