Caught one on a killer flats minnow today by waiting for a few seconds. Had another get off because I jumped the gun and set it to soon

I fished West Bay this morning in the crazy @$$ wind. I found a cut that was draining a marsh and picked up two keeper trout and a flounder on a killer flats minnow.
So far fishing has been decent, it's the wind that sucks

Does the fishing traditionally get better with a storm moving in or does it slack off?
I was planning on hitting west bay, the surf and btb.
What should I expect this Fri-sun?

What's the fishing like on the coast when it's raining? Good or bad?
I don't mind if it's pouring down, as long as the fish are biting

Tell me about it, I finally get to make it back down to the coast as its been 4-5 years. Every time I'm able to fish down there, the weather/tides go to crap.

With about 10-15 salt trips under my belt I've only caught 1 flounder, 1 rat red, and 1 mini spec. Those are not good numbers...
