Re: West Galveston Bay, what now
I’ve been out on and around the water just about every day since the freeze and haven’t seen a single dead fish. I’ve been up and down the majority of the South Shoreline, concentrating my efforts from Sea Aisle all the way east to Offatts Bayou. I haven’t been out towards Christmas bay or the Pass...

Re: Lure size question?
Best advice is in answer given by Sfinatic. However, many times that's easier said than done. I pretty much fly fish these days, so "Match the Hatch" is my byword. But, the size of a fly is small and yet I catch some pretty big fish (every once in a while). The point being, that while siz...

Re: Lure size question?
I don't fish that area but it won't be any different than middle or lower Texas coast. Your answer is whatever size bait the fish are feeding on. Lately for reds I've been using something smaller that more resembles shad since that is what they are feeding on. If you're ever in doubt in most months...

Re: Lure size question?
I only fish artificials so hopefully some of this info may be useful. It is not an easy answer but here is a summary of my last month: May 6 - 22" speck and 25" redfish on 3" Vudu shad (greenback) May 16 - 17" speck on 2 1/2" glass minnow tandem (1/8 oz jig heads, both glow...

Re: Newbie baitcaster question
Get the basics down on how to cast correctly and with accuracy . Try short distances first then as you can hit the same spot regularly, that includes throwing into the wind, increase your distance. While doing this learn what you need to adjust for the wind direction and conditions. If you will be ...

B. I've been thinking of doing this to my kayak. I have a heritage angler pro14. It has a narrow width. How much did this project cost, price wise?

Re: heritage fisherman pro
Thanks for your input/advice. I looking into modifying it, it has to 2 recessed rod holders behind the seat . 2 storage compartments. I will use a modified crate. I've seen some pics/videos of things built with PVC. Just looking for ideas to help setup to start fishing off-land!
