Re: Predator PDL Anchor Trolley

also the predator PDL is just asking to have a hatch installed in that big circle in the stern so add a round hatch and you'll have your access for your nut 8)

Re: Predator PDL Anchor Trolley

Howdy. Just ordered me a Predator PDL. Asked them to install the anchor trolley, and they were too scared. No access to kayak stern. They were going to just use self tappers for the rear pulley. I don't feel like that is adequate. Told them nevermind. Suggestions?? good move, self tapping screws an...

Re: Rigging Pescador perception angler 12

I'm looking into making some adjustments, my kayak is basically all stock at this point. Took it to Colorado last year and I want to add a rod mount to the front (make life easier for trolling & etc) but the Scotty mount dimensions seem to be larger than the space I have to work with. I want to...

Duck hunting in Corpus

Last year my brother in law and I went out and killed some ducks after Christmas from the spoil islands in the upper laguna madre just off padre island. Anybody know if the ducks have made it down there yet? Last year the bay looked black from all the redheads just chilling.

Re: Best Ribs I've Ever Made

They look great! What would be the difference wrapping them in aluminum foil as opposed to butcher paper? Every time I've wrapped in foil the texture of the meat has become mushy, probably because I've wrapped them too long. Butcher paper seems to be more forgiving while still keeping them nice and...

Best Ribs I've Ever Made

HEB had St. Louis style ribs on sale so I figured since the rain finally stopped it was time for some 'cue! Set up my kamado with oak chunks and pecan chips and fired it up to 235 degrees. Rubbed the racks down with yellow mustard and then put on my pork rub (recipe below). Cooked for three hours an...

Re: Post your ride!

Finally finished rigging out my pescador 12, mostly because I ran out of space! Fish finder, anchor trolley, 25 quart cooler with rod holders, gear tracks, Bluetooth speaker, cat bags for hatches, shallow water anchor and lots of others!

Re: fish finder question

That fishfinder should work. I actually have just the striker 4 mounted on my pescador 12.0 and I love it so adding the downvu would make it even better! This is what I used to mount my transducer. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/shop-by-accessories/transducer-accessories/kayak-in-hull-transducer-mo...

Re: Kayaking trip report - Thursday Oct. 13 - Colorado River

After getting skunked on the river, I went to Yegua creek on Lake Somerville last Friday and got my mojo back. I came home stinking like fish and left em still biting. I think I'm going to keep fishing in the lake or a creek till someone finds a good river bite. Yegua Creek Friday Oct. 21 https://y...
