Re: Proving the concept
Nice read Glen! Love how you give details and play by play to assist others on how to find, look, fish and patience is the key. And the fact you are a professor lets you write with clarity and precision. Enjoy reading all your posts and look forward to your next! Out of all my fishing memories I too...

Re: Is Tying a Necessary Evil, Something You Absolutely Enjoy, or Somewhere in Between?
When I feel the need to catch a nice dinner with a home tied lure I will gravitate to my vice and basically think of where, when, and what pattern I feel I will need and then tie a few in alternate colors and flash or glitter depending on what I think may help me attain my goal. Always fun to catch ...

Re: Night time Solunar Bliss at the Galveston Causeway
Excellent report and great fishing by you fellow Captains! I am guessing you were in your PB and not kayaks. That makes for a good time when you're in the same boat and catching limits with only you two. The fish at the causeway are fighting for their food around the columns. The bait fish stack up ...

Re: Report 7/3
Great report Glenn! Sometimes getting the right bite at the wrong time or place can be frustrating. I usually drop lines around a rig to find snapper but they are usually too small at the rigs. Better snappers further out around reef or structures deep. I gotta get out and catch up with you sometime...

A power boat report is just as good as a kayak report! Thanks for sharing and for the detailed info! Those loser boaters that pay no attention to other while on the water will get theirs like the crazed monkey driver. Well done Captains!!

Cobia is a good tasting fish! Nice video Killer! Thanks for sharing. In my experience with cobia if I see one I drop a full eel down on a 1/2 oz weight and they swim back and forth like it did for you and it will take that eel as it goes back and forth.
I like what you did too. Good stuff!

Re: Making a 6 foot fiberglass stakeout pole
Amazon sells the perfect fiberglass rods you need in the correct size. I made mine based on the video on YouTube where you can use a standard PVC fitting with a valve knob to set the height you need. Easy. I posted in these forums of how I did mine. Search my posts.

Captain Don is spot on! Anytime you need someone to go with just post in here if you can't find anyone else. I used to go to the ramps at Tiki and Sea Isle and wait for anyone else to launch and usually join up or got to introduce myself. It's fun at night and I meat a lot of great people that fish ...

Wow another great long report! Well done! Man Impulse gave everyone the night time bite bug with his first hand pics and videos! I for one appreciate him passing on the info. And what's good is that you don't have to go to his lights but any lights were good I heard. Impulse dials in the bite and we...
