Proper paddle length
Hello all, I finally bought a kayak, now I'm looking at paddles and a PFD. I've kind of looked at some size charts online to get a general idea, but wanted some more more feedback from someone with some experience. I'm 5'11" and just bought a Wilderness Ride 115X, which is listed at 33" on...

Re: Harbor Freight Trailer
I ended up going to Harbor Freight on Labor Day and using their 25% off coupon to get the bed extender. My kayak came in today, I ended up getting a killer deal on a new old stock 2017 Ride 115X with the Airpro Max seat. Now I'm just waiting on pay day to roll around to get the "her's" kay...

Re: Harbor Freight Trailer
I was thinking the harbor freight trailers came more highly recommended than that, I might just end up going to buy the bed extender today while I'm off instead. Not sure if I need to create another thread about the bed extender, but to try not to clutter up the forums for now, I have a few question...

Harbor Freight Trailer
Hello all. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a couple of kayaks here pretty shortly for us. Now I'm starting to plan the transportation part of the purchases. I really prefer the idea of going with a trailer. I have a Ford Ranger with a 6 foot bed, but I have a tool box in the bed that takes up r...

Fish finder selection
Hello all, getting closer to pulling the trigger on my kayak finally, now comes all the questions about rigging it. One of my main questions is the fish finder. As all of you know, there's a plethora of options for fish finders, I'm just trying to weed through all that. What's needed, what's not? Wh...

Re: Perception Pescador 12.0 still recommended?
It seems like everytime I try to talk myself into buying a Pescador, I always end up coming back around to the current tarpon 12. That's kind of the way I'm leaning now. I have a store that charges $50 per boat to demo them, then when you buy a boat they apply the demo prices to the boat. Still savi...

Perception Pescador 12.0 still recommended?
Hello all, I've been wanting to get a kayak for a while, but it seems like something always gets in the way and prevents me from buying one before I pull the trigger. I know a lot of people used to recommend the Pescador 12.0 as a good budget minded starter kayak. I'm talking about the original Pesc...

Re: Wilderness Ride 115 Seat
Thanks for the recommendation. I actually contacted a store that is local to me about it. They did confirm the previous model's Max seat will fit the 2017 model. I may contact ACK just to confirm. I guess that's a wrap on that one, just figured I would report back with the answer in case anybody els...

Wilderness Ride 115 Seat
Hello all. I'm looking at kayaks and looking to purchase one once I get the money saved up for it. I was looking at the Wilderness Systems Ride 115. I know in the past they have offered the Ride series kayaks with the AirPro Max seat, but now I can only find them with the AirPro Freedom Elite seat -...

Re: Let me formally introduce myself
I'm heavily leaning towards the 12 footer. I started out looking at 10 foot, but the more I've had time to read and think it over, the more I think I want the 12'. Even if I were to get the 10', I'll probably end up in a 12' at a later date anyways so I may as well save myself the hassle. I'll be pa...

Let me formally introduce myself
Hello all. I've been lurking around here for a little bit while I've been kicking around the idea of a kayak. I'm finally getting close to pulling the trigger (close, not quite there yet), so I figure I should go ahead and start acquainting myself with the forums. I've been thinking and researching ...
