Well, if you have a spear rod holder and you own a sabiki rig it's good to have it on board because when the bait is there you need to be ready right away, I love mine and I always bring with me when I go out but what ever totes your boat! Every body has they're own opinion about it.tight lines

Make sure you seal that front hatch if you plan on doing BTB with it!
