Thank you! They weren't freezer burned. Still thawing them out. I was going to feel pretty guilty if I killed him for nothing.

Frozen Drum
So I cleaned out the freezer today and found a couple drum fillets from back in December. I don't want to waste the life of a beautiful fish but I also don't want to get food poisoning. Does anyone know how long they can stay frozen and still safely be eaten? Also, are there any red flags I should l...

Hot Deal at REI
Just picked up a WingMan HD waterproof action cam as an alternative to GoPro. Normally sells for $230 and was listed on amazon for $170-200. They had it on clearance for $71 and mine was the last in stock and was on display so I got an extra 15% off and was out the door for $66. It got 4-5 stars on ...

Re: Lady help.
I'm loving this thread. I picked a girl who got me into saltwater fishing. My first time on salt in my yak she was out there schooling a friend and I. This weekend she was fishing in CC with her dad while I was stuck in Dallas dying inside. My advice is to start with one who loves to fish! I think m...

Re: Big Annual Colorado River Dogs Trip
Found out around 1pm yesterday I could make it this weekend... 7 hours later I screwed my back up at work moving a patient. I'm going to take it as a sign. I assume there will be more trips coming up soon with the change in weather. Hope to see y'all soon.

Re: Long time lurker finally pulled the trigger
If I had any extra cash I would have definitely gotten myself a 10ft pescador at gander during that sale. I don't really like paddling the lakes much. I just moved back to DFW so I am trying to find good rivers and creeks to paddle

Re: Long time lurker finally pulled the trigger
You are going to LOVE that kayak. I have a search 13 which I'm pretty sure is the same yak a foot longer with a diff name. Myself and two buddies may go paddle this weekend just to get on the water in north DFW if you want to tag along to try out your purchase. Just message me and let me know.

Re: Ultimate 14.5 for camping, fishing, hunting?
I have an Ultimate 14.5 and two vizslas(55lbs each) and take one of them with me sometimes fishing. I have even taken both before without a problem. My dog has plenty of room to move around and the sides create boundaries that my 13ft sit on top doesn't. It is plenty stable enough to throw a water t...

Help out with a furry companion
Looking for a good boat dog and all around adventure companion. Re: Big Annual Colorado River Dogs Trip
You hunted them!?!?! MURDERER!!!! On a serious note. Yes, she is an awesome pup so far. She is our second one. Our other is a 7 year old male and I'm hoping she will be at least half as good of a dog as he is. Tis why I got her :) my male has absolutely no prey drive but my female does althoug...

Re: Big Annual Colorado River Dogs Trip
My dog will be a 10 month old vizsla by the point. Although she's young, her intire purpose has been to be my adventure buddy so other than being easily distracted she is pretty excellently behaved in the great outdoors and has even gone fishing with me from my kayak. Now inside.... She's a MONSTER!...

PS firefly, I ended up buying the ultimate 14.5 and my girl likes it, but we found out right after sh...

Re: Excellent Catch! Unfortunately it was my girlfriend... :(
Back in the early 70's we lived in Corpus Christi. We drove a 4 wheel drive van and pulled a pop up camper to PINS on many a week-end for, what was then, fantastic surf fishing. I baited about four rods at night, each wrapped generously with glow tape. By placing a coleman lantern behind the rods o...

Luckily her dad was understanding about it! And yeah, sorry for not getting a picture but I felt like if I had tried I would have been swimming back to the condo.

Excellent Catch! Unfortunately it was my girlfriend... :(
Went on a fishing vacation to Port A with my girlfriend and her family this weekend. Yesterday her and her dad and I were out and all fishing the bank from the front of the boat. I told her dad I was about to cast over his head and turned round to check my surroundings to find her crouched, assuming...

Heading to corpus this weekend NEED tips.
Going to fish the bay this weekend with her family. Where are the reds and trout hitting and what are they hitting right now? Any advice will help. They fish here a lot but I am interested to know what has been working for y'all and where! Thanks for the help!

You can also easily turn the tandem ultimate into a solo. Forgot to mention that.
