Re: Looking for bonefish/tarpon guide Grand Cayman
Used to live there, can't give any help on guides but will tell you if you can get out to the Head of Barkers, a lot of good wade fishing there. Or easier to get to is Frank Sound. The dykes/canals into the Head of Barkers are like a maze so keep a good track, plus those canals hold lots of small Tar...

Re: BBW River Ranger 14 build
It will but it takes longer for sure. For my present build I have 3 hardeners slow, medium and fast, and I find the fast (4-1) will pretty much set up over nite with our weather now.

" an attractive wood after it's been finished. IMHO " I agree but so is WRC that can be found quite inexpensively in a variety of colors to give contrast, I will buy any size that I can that is clear (no knots), I prefer to scarf my strips but butt joints are less work ( not that much less...

interested on your feedback on that foot steering setup as opposed hand control, and again very nice work , love that cockpit size, gives SOF a totally different spin. Re: A Skin On Frame Challenger
to get over the rudder floating I have a length of bungee cord as part of the down-haul which will hold the rudder down but give enough for the blade to kick up should you hit obstruction, my rudder is quite a bit larger for sailing, so very buoyant.

Re: Want to build but have a few questions
The TV 15-29 is an easy build and a very capable boat, well within the usage you require. I've had mine for a good while now everyone that has used it likes it a lot. I'm presently making the 15-32 for a friend ( he's a big man). I have done both as you mentioned, one all strip built after cutting p...

Re: Road trip OK, AR and MO
some folks really think those '' pretty'' boats aren't functional or durable, not the case at all.Three of the boats in the last but one picture have all done many multi river/camp/fish trips with no more than a rinse out, plus they only weigh in the mid 30 lb region, easier to portage, maneuver,load...
