The freeport system forces the reds to go to the marshes becuase quite frankly, that's all there is in Freeport ...

Re: 1097 bridge at Lake Conroe
Is Kangle Rd The Public Boat ramp inbetween the two bridges? If so yes, I think thats where I am going in the morning, I usually head over to the stumps and more often do well on pan sized Cats with chicken livers!

You can also put in at the public boat ramp on 1097, I normally head over to the stumps and always bring dinner home!

Stubblefield in the morning
Well tomorrows my Saturday, haven't fished Stubblefield in a few years and never on a Yak, so I figured I'd give it a shot in the morning, is there any recent fishing reports out there that haven't been posted?

and don't forget Lake Woodlands, maybe not the greatest fishing hole, but if you've just got a few hours to spare it's convienant and i always do fair when targeting Cats and Crappie!

Re: Tackle arrangement
My whole set up is still a work in progress, but I bought two of the cheap Plano Mini Magnum tackle boxes, perfect size for a milk crate, filled one with lures and Jigs and the other with assorted weights, hooks, swivels etc, one more will fit perfectly and I'll fill it with plastics.

Stubblefield or 1097 tomorrow!
I haven't made my mind up whether to put in at 1097 or drive the extra 20 miles to Stubblefield tomorrow, I will be targeting Cats but will have some lures with me just in case things are incredibly slow, anyone fished either of these spots lately?
