Congrats on your 25 that's a good fish. I'd probably wait for something over 26.. but to each is own.. There's not a ton of 26 and overs but there are several caught each fall in December.

Just remember to only use that NOAA nautical chart as general reference. They are not current at all. ~60 years old and a ton has change in many areas. Some areas haven't but other have. Just be smart.

braid for flounder all the way. You need the hook setting power for them. It would be ok to use a leader if you want to but many are caught tying directly to the eye. Flounder arn't line shy.
