Re: Should I stay or should I move?
I had some experiences past couple weekends fishing that helped me understand schools better. 3 weekends ago - Spent a day castnetting and noticed finger mullet ran with finger mullet of the same size with little variance. Shad that ran together were all the same size. Even the skipjack that attacke...

Re: Sow Trout...CPR or stringer queen?
I agree with Yaklash. I would like to make one observation, which I know is not one based on ecology, environment, but more of the culture of sport fishing and hunter. I know this comparison is a stretch, but has one hunter ever been angry at another hunter for shooting the biggest buck they've ever...

I would be interested... I am sure you could also find participants if they were spaced in between LSKS events.

Re: Head to Head Rod Comparison #1: Waterloo vs. Laguna
I love my Laguna TX wader 1. Most sensitive rod I have ever fished with. I have had a guide and hook holder come out of the wraps but nothing a small repair can't fix.
I will probably get the wader 2, unless someone can recommend a better Laguna model. ....

Re: Trout Slick-Video
I don't usally pull quality trout from slicks. I chase them everytime they are there, but they are usually dinks or barely 15" when I hit a slick.

Re: Watch your stringers
My guess is shark. This is all anecdoctal, but I am seeing and reading about more sharks in the bay than my previous 4 years in the bays and reading reports in TKF. - I saw a 3' blacktip in shin deep water three weekends ago. - I caught a 20" blacktip off Caranchua reef (near ICW). - I spooked ...

Do you like having rocket launchers for the rods? Does it keep them dry while paddling?

Re: BAM BAM 8/24/14
I always enjoy reddog's reports because he posts what you need to know, and the guy can clearly fish. Early bite, decent visibility with green tint, 5' depth with tide coming in. You could have recreated this pattern the following morning in a hundred different spots thourghout the GBC and probably ...

Re: Shark Talk
I was wading a marsh flat on Saturday and I was in about knee high water. I was casting and wading up shallower hoping for some redfish bites, when I see an obvious dorsal and tail fin. This was what looked like 3' shark in about 6" of water. He did some big, S turns across this point, I moved ...

A 4-5' bull shark shows up in some lights near Offats from time to time. Not sure why anyone would be surprised to see a shark in the bay.

Brown Lures: Flappin Devils
Anyone know where to get more Flapping Devils? I am specifically looking for Amber and Plumtreuse. They used to carry them at Academy but they don't offer those colors anymore in Flapping Devils. I go to http://www.brownlures.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and they say ...
