My sister in law worked the front desk in one of those hotels down on the Strand. Needless to say, she had to look for another line of work for awhile.

That's where my Mom lived until yesterday. I'm pretty sure that key had about 30 feet of water over it during the hurricane about 5-6 years ago.

I hardly got out at all last year, but that spot was good to me the year before.

Sounds a helluva lot better than working, which is what I did all day, cold or not, and a flatfish besides, anything sounds like paradise when you're under the fluorescents.

If the TCD isn't going to open till Fall or whenever, what is the closest launch point to get to the Dike's north side, like around Mosquito Island. I'm assuming they aren't going to wade out into the drink if you are fishing close to it to give you a ticket?

This is probably a dumb question, in fact I'm sure it is given my n00b status, but what the heck are those things in thwe top picture? I'm looking at it on my phone and even after I blew it upup I still can't tell.
