Re: Marsh Fishing -- First Timer Tripby FTU a few times to picit
The main thing I care about learning is just where the heck I can launch my kayak on any given body of water without getting shot at, my car jacked, or towed, etc. I don't care where someone caught a fish, fish move, launch points don't. :D I'd rather have an easy entry than a fish report, any day....

Re: Roll over pass
What I heard was that it was going to be done because Ike blasted so many oyster beds with sediment and they thought that this would help recreate reef structure. I saw a TPWD report somewhere online that was a study on how large an area of beds was covered. ChubbyX3 for the clear water and grass id...

Re: Whiting and Pompano at Matagorda Beach
The Galveston fishing report had this report of one on the 18th: "Teresa Banuelos fished the surf early Thursday and caught one of our typical summer fish, a pompano. Banuelos found good action along the 17th Street rock groins, where she caught a bunch of whiting and a 22-inch red in addition ...

I'd keep them too, looks like a great start on a new hobby, that's worth more than some cash, unless you really are drooling over a new 'yak, of course.

Came within a whisker of going to Grenada but never saw action, and thank heavens for that.

I found this: Friday, February 5, 2010 Calling McCollum Park’s Bluff McCollum Park in Beach City, closed since Hurricane Ike, should reopen this summer, after Chambers County officials get a little work done: “The park sits on a bluff overlooking the bay and the edge of that bluff now sits about 20 ...

My sister in law worked the front desk in one of those hotels down on the Strand. Needless to say, she had to look for another line of work for awhile.

That's where my Mom lived until yesterday. I'm pretty sure that key had about 30 feet of water over it during the hurricane about 5-6 years ago.

I have a question, does the size of the Corky have any bearing on whether it's a floater or not? Or are there fatboy floaters, fatboy sinkers, etc?

Texas City Dike
If the TCD isn't going to open till Fall or whenever, what is the closest launch point to get to the Dike's north side, like around Mosquito Island. I'm assuming they aren't going to wade out into the drink if you are fishing close to it to give you a ticket?
