Re: Bob Hall Pier 7-21-18 (REPORT)

Here's my addition... My wife, son and I drove down from Austin after work, stopped by the bait ship and grabbed some ribbons and hit the beach. It was almost midnight by the time we got there so we headed down the beach to find a place to throw down camp where we wouldn't bother anybody. Had a cou...

On calm days I would leave my sail and one outrigger at home, I called this Hawaiian style. Slow but a great fishin...

From what I was told when I was there you can make it all the way to 50 mile mark in two wheel. I did not personally check that out..lol I had fishing in mind.
I do know at the 6 mile mark there was plenty of cars going by.

I finally got away from waders, and went to a NRS boot . They never last long and always getting leaks. So far these have worked out great. Of course they are limited to how deep your wading. Very good feedback Prof. salts, as always! Just to give a bit more feedback on the G2 and its progress. It is now being molded in Washington and issues are being address with molding, plastic weights, raising center hatch and some minor tweaks. They are selling a few of the G2’s that come off the ne...

Re: Corpus / Bob hall pier trip

You can keep heading south and fish Bird Island. If you want to go back towards Port Aransas you can hit the flats to the north of Packary Channel or head a little further up and hit Wilsons cut. You can drift those flats off to the north/east at Wilsons cut or head out to Shamrock Cove from there....

Corpus / Bob hall pier trip

Headed down to the beach to camp around 5 miles from Bob hall pier on the 17th thru the 21st. and the reports on the tide is growing starting Friday thru Sunday with a storm coming in. I was thinking of hitting the flats while the tides are high to fish. Any advice on a good spot to get into?

Bait couldn't hold with tide and wind coming heavy from the south ,so it made it a not hit morning. Later that day from 2 thru 7 it laid down for us ...
