OK, several years ago, a member had a water level gauge in the Bayou Vista area and I lost my bookmark to it, anyone still have the link?

Re: Mythman
First people I ever fished with from TKF were Mythman, Wolfman, and SaltyKat many years ago. Good people all of them. Mike has forgotten more about fishing BTB than most of us will ever even know.

Re: Member needs help
I posted it on my Facebook Page. Thank you Tobin. It's been a lot of years since I spoke to Joe, but I remember him a standup guy whose wife and daughter fish with him, and I'm sure this isn't a scam. Help him out if you can. Thank you Hipshot. Yes, I have been around here for a LONG time, my wife ...

Member needs help
My daughter Bonnie is having to have reconstructive surgery on her foot and ankle for the 3rd time (2nd time this year) and really needs some help with the expenses this time. As of right now, we only have a couple hundred dollars set aside for this and her surgery date is fast approaching. Any litt...

Found at Fat Boy's launch
Anyone that has used the old Fat Boy's launch near Tiki Island lost a stake out stick? I found one there recently while out flounder gigging, if you can identify the type and size, I'd be glad to meet up somewhere with you to return it.

Re: Hobie warranty and FTU service
Camille is great to work with when dealing with kayak issues and so was Todd. Unfortunately, Todd got a job at a refinery and is no longer there. The remaining kayak staff at the Fuqua location wasn't worth a flip when I took my wife's Tarpon 120 in to get the seat repaired. All the push pin grommet...

Re: TKF presents - The 7th Annual Paddling Class - SOLD OUT
My daughter just pointed out this falls on memorial day weekend, I won't know till the 16th if I/we will actually get the day off. I'm starting to look for possible replacements in case any of us can't go.

For making your own leaders, crimping the sleeves that would keep them from coming undone. Or in a pinch, and emergency repair on an electrical component.

Places to buy Chickenboy Lures in Houston Area. Hookspit tackle in League City, Louis's Bait camp, Buccees Freeport (I'm pretty sure the new Buccees by the outlet mall will have them also when it opens), Serious Tackle, and I've heard rumor that Marburgers sells them but have not verified this for m...

Re: Anchor rope length (GSC)
HSC at it's deepest points are 45+ foot, when I hit it for the drum run, I take 150' of line for my anchor and use a heavier anchor than I normally would for regular BTB. Just be sure to watch the current. it can kick up quick and suck an anchored kayak under, I'd advise the buddy system for this tr...

It's all in good fun Tombo, but every time I see a Prius, all I can think of is the Jeff Dunham skits with Walter giving him crap about driving a Prius. Bonnie still gets a good giggle seeing it at the LSKS weigh ins with a Hobie Adventure on the trailer behind it.

Not familiar enough with the waters in that area to suggest a starting point, but for gigging, I wear the Magellan Neoprene boot foot waders. Look for wadeable areas that dump to the gulf or deep water, I prefer a soft sand or slightly silty bottom.

Re: Fish ID?
When gigging in October, I noticed a higher number of lizardfish that I had ever seen, in fact, I had never seen them while gigging before this year, had to ask one of my gigging buddies what they were.
