BTB basic setups
Alrighty. I've been out of the loop for a few years with family and work. Now that my boy is getting older he's wanting to do more fishing. Specifically salt water fishing. This is what I currently have: Penn 309 (made in USA) on an 7' Ugly Stick with medium heavy action that I used for trolling. Da...

I was out there today for the first time and caught my first rainbow, which is exciting. Caught on a wooly bugger with a shaky worm below it. It hit the wooly bugger.

I like to have a gentle tail wind when I'm out. I try to avoid a headwind.

I'm going to have to disagree with this recipe. It clearly states this as an appetizer for four. False, I won't share.

I was thinking it was a preemptive proposition to help protect the citizens of Texas in case there is a ban on guns or more federal regulations on the waters we fish in. Of course I could be way off track on this one.

Re: New truck advice and 4x4 limitations
All I can tell you is my experience. Dodge 2500 4x4 diesel Only got stuck once and that was when I parked and the front end sank in soft mud to the point of no return, didn't realize it until I tried to move a couple of hours later. I never had any trouble in the sand but I stayed out of the soft st...

Do you really want to go near Campwood?ReelinTx wrote:I'm in the area, and it's not worth the trip. To get better water you need to go north of campwood, some friends of mine went a week ago and said it was a good paddle. If you'd like I can get more specifics on where they put in and took out.

Re: What has happened to the traffic on TKF?
I think a lot of the lack of activity can be explained by the policy of forcing new users' post through the approval process prior to being posted. The couple posts I've made have taken 3-6 days to get approved. Plenty of forums manage just fine without policies that treat new posters as guilty unt...

This site is for all ages and abilities. Knowing that you are fairly young and new to this, I believe that you will find that the more "senior" guys will help you out a bit more. And don't listen to Barnacle Bill, he can't fish.

For future reference, if you have an auction (silent or otherwise) at a tournament or something similar let me know and I'll donate some auction items for the cause.

Re: Repairing a Travel Trailer Window
There is a place down the road from me that does tt repair. I'm told they do a great job. If you send me your trailer model and the size of the window I'll swing by there and see if they can order it for you.
