Really, all you have to do is lay it in the sun upside down and it will do it's thing. You might want to haul and store it like that too. It took me some time to get used to doing it myself..

All I use is 12 lb. test and I've brought in everything from pin perch to a 6ft. blacktip.

As a matter of fact the shark was caught on the pin perch shortly after.

Go to Lowes and buy wall mount ladder holders. The large ones hold up to 50 lbs a piece. I picked up two of them for less than 30.00 and they hold my Prism great. WOW!! I agree w/ Foul Hooked. The boots weigh a ton, don't have drainage, and are the dickins to get off. Here's a rack that I made for my Ranger, only cost about $28. As far as the kayaks you're looking at, Academy has both of them, and with the yak and the rack, you'll be under your budget.. Hope that helps some..
