Re: Lake Spence Trip
Thank you sir! Yeah, it was a much needed break. This was at Wildcat. I like this side of the lake. When are we gonna dust off them kayaks and get on the river?

Lake Spence Trip
It's been along time since i've been able to get out and do anything. I work seven days a week, months at a time. But the wife and I finally got away for the weekend. Thought you fellers might like to check it out. I know it's been a while since i've been around (work work work), but I felt the need...

Re: San Angelo report?
Wish I could get out and find out for ya. I haven't been out around town lately. Been on the Devil's and the Colorado and their doing good, but the only thing I hear around Angelo is Nasworthy is producing some nice bass out near the jetties by the warm water slough. Oh, and Twin Buttes....htt...

Spring Break - Sulphur Springs Camp
I posted this in the Freshwater section since it was more about fishing, but thought you fellers might like to check it out since we were camping there as well. I just forgot to move it over here too.

Re: Amistad Fishing Report
I was hoping to get back down there this month, but it's not going to happen. Here's a bit of info...A buddy who was down at rough canyon a few days ago said the whites were running hard around Indian Springs. I really, really wanted to get there for that again. Last years trip during that time was ...

Re: Short Spring Break
Thanks guys! My buddy called it a Opelousas too, and I had no idea what he was talking about, i'd never heard that before. I said, no, pretty sure that's a flathead. From the TPWD - Flathead Catfish (Pylodictis olivaris) - Other Names: Yellow Cat, Opelousa Cat, Pied Cat, Mississippi Cat, Mud C...

Thanks.
Forgot to mention, the whites weren't running hard yet but we managed about 12 keepers and 2 cats. Good eats right there. My buddy called last night and said his group caught 49 up at the lake a few days ago.

Short Spring Break
We never get to have any family time during Spring Break. My work is at it's peak busy season, so we're always stuck in town. But this year, I somehow was able to get out on a Saturday and Sunday. My wife, kids and myself left Friday night after work and headed to Bend, Tx. We were meeting up with a...

Re: A Quick Weekender
Thanks guys! We actually were planning another trip down there this weekend to take advantage of the tilapia in the shallows and hoping the whites would start their run by then. But the weather isn't looking good and instead of just 2 of us going, it would've been both families. Would've been fun, b...

A Quick Weekender
I posted this in Freshwater, but thought y'all might like it over here too. In the last 15 years, I have never gone more than a month or so without fishing. For a long time it was 1-2 times a week. Well, times have changed. Work, family, etc. It's been seven months. No idea how I let that happen. Bu...

Re: Dude's Trip 2017 - Big Bend Part 2
Thanks Earl! Yea, it's crazy how fast they're growing. He's 16 now. If you're making a list, make sure Big Bend is up towards the top. Amazing place. Btw, I was using a Nikon D7200 and D7000.

Dude's Trip 2017 - Big Bend Part 2
It's amazing how little time I have anymore. I used to be able to knock this stuff out fast. But anyway, here's the second installment in my son and my trip to Big Bend. Hope you enjoy.

Dude's Trip 2017 - Big Bend
http://i68.tinypic.com/2qjdhjl.jpg Hey fellers. I haven't been on much for a while. This last year has been a rough one, but it's getting much better. I haven't been on the water in about three months, which I think is my longest dry spell in 15 years. But...still been getting out and having ...

Re: Sat. Phones
This week marks the three year anniversary of our ill-fated Pecos trip. I was reading over the story that my buddy Bert had written about our experience, and came across this little excerpt I had forgotten about. Thought it might be relevant here. " Dustin stayed with us, and after the helo dep...

Re: Sat. Phones
I've rented one from GlobalcomSatPhone.com for our Pecos River trips. It is the Iridium 9505A. Needed it for a week and with everything minus the minutes it is about $90. Then it's $1.70 a minute if we use it. We called home a couple of times to talk with the ladies, and also called a buddy to get w...

Re: HELP!! Camera found on Devils!
Sometimes there is an "if found" file on the camera, did you check all the folders? With the internet it is definitely possible to find the guy and kudos to you for trying. I found a guy's GoPro when I was fishing the Guad, made a little video, and found the guy 3 weeks later in West Virg...
