Re: Shrimp Boil

Thank you Nuemie for posting up the how to do for the shrimp boil! We used it as one of our elements of our Christmas Eve party with our family! It was a nice addition to fried fish and raw and fried oysters! Thanks again!

Re: hackberry rod and gun

Nice info Neumie, thanks!

KK, I figured that you had been to the Hackberry Rod and Gun Club but I didn't pick up on the inside joke with Unclejnb . . .

I heard that's a good group to go out with to catch some fish!

Glad to hear that they came out as well as they did!

Re: hackberry rod and gun

KK, I always respect your posts but this doesn't look good for the Hackberry Rod and Gun Club because it's directly north of Cameron where the hurricane came ashore. Where the hurricane came ashore my understanding is that there was a 15 to 20 foot storm surge. I don't think that whiskey stored abov...

Re: What camera to use while kayaking

Been happy with my Fuji XP, waterproof to 50 ft for 30 minutes, shockproof to 5.8 ft.
Got mine at COSCO a couple of years back for about $225 plus TTL.
Great macro and good optical zoom with image stabilization.
Just a little point and shoot camera which is good for me.

Re: Ceviche for the 4th

Capt Jack, you've got it goin for sure. The thing that I like would be the pre-prepped PicoDeGallo, the Capers that my wife loves and the readily available Tilapia fillets. Nice, nice, nice and easy! Had some really nice Ceviche while in California over the 4th of July and I think that this will sur...

No kiddin, I heard that in Germany you have to take classes as to how to, I guess, bonk the fish on the head so the fish doesn't suffer as you put in in the cooler, . but I think that some here on the TKF GD board would do that already . . . that is, if they ever caught a fish,  :l...

Re: Wanted to stop by and say hello to old friends

Great hearing from you Ray! I was aware of the Corpus move but WOW moving from the millions of saltwater venues of the Texas coast to Alabama north of Huntsville is one heck of a swing. From the looks of it you're only 80-90 miles south of Nashville should you and the Mrs get a hankering for some Na...

Capri In Sugar Land is Closing . . .

Just a heads up, Capri Liqour in Sugar Land just south of the Hwy 6 and 90 alternate intersection is closing. I lost another 5.5 lbs this week ( 25+ lbs loss total and by not drinking alcohol, irony for sure, LOL) and my doc gave me the heads up. Take 25% off the price and it beats the heck out of S...

that video and music and subject matter was awesome.

A sense of humor both you and your dad have, in particular having you dad saying he was just checking the integrity of the bottom of his kayak when he turtled, LOL.

what a great post and thank you for making my day for sure!

Thanks again!
