Re: Catfish Reel?? Need to buy; don’t know which one.
For me it’s the Abu Garcia 7000C I have had these for several years already and no issues. Rather fishing the banks or kayak they have done the job.

Re: Braided line color
I went Saturday and fished a marsh, there was no difference between the white and the green braided lines. Unfortunately the gar were out in force and fresh water still coming out the marsh from previous rains of days before. Not much red action this time to talk about, guess I picked the wrong spot...

Never really looked it up before but I’ll be following this post for sure, 1.57 nautical miles is nothing to paddle. I’m sure someone one here has experience with the Matagorda rigs , come on let’s post u...

Braided line color
Who has used white braided fishing line in saltwater before? Did it make a difference in bites? I have two spools if 15# white braided line but I have always used moss green. Well it’s time to change the line out after three years. Should I use the white or go buy some moss green again? The waters I...

True pro. right there you handle your catch with ease and simplicity. Yes I prefer the free drift to anchor also when it comes to kayak fishing simplicity works best for me. I can remember seeing a guy out there loaded down with gear I mean four rods, tackle boxes, cooler, gaff and long anchor line ...

18 miles by noon, wow! You put some miles on that kayak myself and a buddy of mine figured out mileage for the year a few years back. We came out to 376 miles paddled over a year of fishing on the weekends. You differently have that beat. I know you have that stealth kayak, that thing is really nice...

I love having a longer yak I have an ocean trident 15 that cuts through rough conditions. You’re right about the 16 foot you have a buddy of mine has one and they perform their best in the rough conditions. I don’t have a rudder on mine yet I have been considering one just haven’t made the move.

Impressive trip and thank you for sharing . I have logged hundreds of miles on the river out of a kayak and canoe but never one of that length.
