Re: Warmer temperatures and night bite

Went to pirates cove. Started around 8 finished up about midnight. Not a lot going on, managed 2 slots a few dinks and one trout at 15” Not many lights on. One of the nice homeowners with awesome overhead lights had fish spraying bait out of the water, eased over to check it out and the old man come...

Re: Warmer temperatures and night bite

We usually go out to pirates cove but we are trying to figure out where in sea isle or Jamaica beach to try something new. Today through Sunday night, if we go tonight and catch them I’d say I’ll go at least one more time possible two

Warmer temperatures and night bite

The warm weather and work schedule opening up I’m going to make a run at the lights this week. Has anyone tried their luck recently at night? I’ve been out to the surf once in the last week and no luck, hoping this warm weather fires them up as much as it’s firing me up. Thanks in advance.

Re: Night lights

If anyone is interested. The surf was full of fish. Trout, lady fish, Spanish mackerel Surfside ST Luis pass Caught some on live majority soft plastic until sun got way up… bite died after 1230 Could still get some on live but water was so clear slowed the bite. Night lights

Anyone tried fishing the lights lately? I’m ready to get back out but the heat has me staying nocturnal and today was the first “cool” 68 degree morning!

Re: Feb North Jetty trip, Bolivar

Thanks for the reply and the information. I for sure agree, I'd feel better going out there with someone who has seen the conditions change quickly and understand when its time to call it and not push for one more bite. I am very cautious on the water, and that trip had me nervous to be honest. Once...

Re: Feb North Jetty trip, Bolivar

Thanks guys for your response and info. We did make it out at first light, was super calm, nice and no wind. THEN, the boat traffic started. we made it to the boat pass and decided to go through over to the beach/bolivar side of the north jetty. much calmer over there, water was chocolate. my buddy ...

Feb North Jetty trip, Bolivar

I was thinking about headed out to the North Jetty Bolivar area with a friend of mine Sunday 2/19. I have never fished the jettys, is this a good time of year to try it? Maybe less boat traffic? this will be a day after the cold weather front thats blowing through, I am hoping it will be calm enough...

Re: Sargent Tx Canal House Available on VRBO

I was just talking to my buddy to set something up here in a few weeks, is there alot of lights on docks to try fishing at night? We want to fish as much as possible so after our day trips and some naps we wanted to try some lights at night.

Re: What's up with kayak manufacturing?

I have called around looking for the Bluesky Boatworks 360 pro Houston area and no luck. Called a few out of state dealers and they're saying sometime in 2022.... I plan to go look at a few places once I get a few days off, here in a couple weeks. I wouldn't mind getting the bluesky boatworks 360 an...
