I had hoped to get them from the beach but the weed at High Island area was ridiculous. Couldn’t even keep a bait rod out for more than 3 seconds

Sat in a lawn chair last weekend at LCRA Matagorda and watched the game wardens pull over and board just about every boat coming up the Colorado. Did not see them take any boats away though haha

Re: PINS Crab Kill

No dead ones but the crabs were filling up my trap at LCRA Matagorda over the weekend Nothing caught from the campsite other than crabs (in trap and on shrimp) and croakers....good news is only one hardhead caught! Fished with crab and croaker and caught nothing. From the beach managed a single pup ...

Re: What is going on at High Island??

Fish HI near the slabs from the sand on Saturday. Greta day on the beach and I wasn't alone (lots of people) Nothing on ray, and both my mullets were stripped off the hook without a click. Caught a keeper black drum on shrimp (score! haha) Kid enjoyed the yak rides to run bait and swimming in the gu...

Hey! Cliftonio That is one funny looking measure board you got there :D I bet it is very precise and accurate right? yep, he is right about 50", so if I catch a red bigger than him it could be a C&R record! (was it pierpressure that had an >50" red?) he gets an assist on this catch - ...

Played from the sand on Sunday. Would have been a great BTB day, very distinguishable tide line out about 300-500yards Finally broke this unbelievable shunk I have had surf fishing this past year (year previous to this wasn't great either) http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/qq39/cliftonio/d317b6de-b...

Re: Bear eats kayak after being pepper sprayed

The pepper spray didn't work....because she was too far away reminded me of a incident that happen to my buddy in the Yukon. He was doing a forestry survey in the remote bush for some fly by night operation (good companies would give you an Akita and a gun, they gave him a small pepper spray bottle)...

I use the shorter hobie tandem called kona. 11.5 ft long 34 inches wide super stable. A bit heavy at around 68 pounds with all the hatches installed. I own one. It was not a cheap yak, but I love it for paddling with my son and it has turned to my goto yak for running baits or fishing the higher su...
